PDX,

Bates and Harvey left Leeds in a financial pickle, they mortgaged season tickets and hospitality areas to fund the redevelopment of the East Stand. That was a curious thing to do seeing as nobody knows who owns the stadium! Strange coincidence that Harvey told the Select committee looking into football governance that he didn't know who owned  the club, and hey presto when the PL said they wouldn't allow Leeds into the PL without knowing who owned the club Bates suddenly managed to find the owners and buy it. Sound familiar?

So, when they sell the club to GFH Capital they get the club, along with a mortgage on ST's and hospitality, but don't get the stadium. So the ultimate beneficiaries are whoever does own the stadium. Well,that's my view anyway.

It's an attempt to get the club sold to his joint venture consortium, if it doesn't work he gets his money back earlier, win-win for Flowers.

This is the same Shaun Harvey who is now CEO of the Football League, isn't it? No wonder they have problems in applying the "fit and proper persons" test.

Goodness gracious me..... I didn't realise Harvey was at the FL now. I must be behind the times. It's no good moaning though is it really? The FL, the FA and the PL have all nailed their flags very publicly to their masts. We can't say we didn't know. All I hope now is for those cretins to all fall on their swords, or be skewered by them, when the crash comes.

Harvey was also at Bradford City when they went into administration.
It was reported at the time that Leeds entered administration that the FA were looking at Harvey's role. In this, i.e. Using knowledge gained at City to Leeds benefit.

Now facing a winding-up order from their shirt sponsor and a potential buyer - the plot thickens.

Looks like the Bellenders have cornered the market in laughing stock, taking on to the next level.

Anyway, further comment on "fit and proper";
