Silly booking,no nead to make a challenge like that, the player was going no where and wellens was lucky to only get a yellow

Think he was frustrated with not getting a free kick just before, was always gonna get a ban at sum point though,I take it will be a 2game ban

Hopefully Keegan will be ok,don't want the wheels coming off our climb up the table with both of them missing

It was a stupid tackle, sorry "flying" tackle, there was no need for him to do it.

It was a booking every day of the week, but nothing more. I was unimpressed by the efforts of the Boro players to get him sent off. The No. 7 (Leadbitter) should also have been booked for his reaction.

Several of theirs should have been in the book and the first half ref seemed unfamiliar with the concept of "persistent infringement." Brown was battered every time he went up for the ball.

Their number 11 sprinted the full width of the pitch to get involved! He should have been booked as well.

The 11 (Ledesma) was another who seemed to lead a charmed life. He should have been booked early on for a blatant piece of dissent. Then (after the refs changed) he had a real pop at the lino for which he could easily have been booked.

Both refs- but particularly the first half one- seemed as though they were reluctant to caution Boro players.

Leadbitter was at the ref every chance he could whether it was a foul to them or us

The boro players were keen to get involved but im not going to have a go at them for that..We do it as does everybody else...It was a shocker of a challenge to be honest...for me could have gone either way....And I'm mad with Ritchie because Keegan played with a stapping on and only got to half time so I fear the worse there.....We could be left without our central midfield now for two big games...
If it was a crucial challenge fair enough but it wasn't it was frustration that could well cost us and for me that's poor on Richies part,he's experienced enough to know the repurcussions...

Tbh I was expecting a red card coming out, it seemed to me that RW had lost his head with something that had just gone on prior to the tackle/assault

I also thought it was going to be a straight red, when you compare Wellens flying challange to Carrolls on the other thread which I think is an extremely harsh red card, I feel he was quite lucky to stay on the pitch, clear retaliation!
