Like I said in the OP, one person in that FB group has got 30 tickets at a fiver each, £150 he'll make for nothing, it's tossers like these that need stamping on, heavily!

you won't change our new societal needs and values on a football forum.

The "bleedin" obvious solution to this is that the people who come in on the free ticket voucher have to come in through the turnstiles with the STH. ie STH first, then everyone else immediately behind. Try and get in by themselves or even out of turn in the queue and they're not allowed in.

Schools pay for the tickets as part of a participation programme with the Community Foundation. When they are given out to children / families they have no value printed on the ticket but this isn't actually the case as they have been paid for by the school. Frustratingly these tickets often go unused and at times possibly get "sold on". One school who's tickets were found to be sold outside the ground last season were reported to the police. The other tickets that occasionally come through schools are discounted but this is part of an attendance programme, again paid for at the point if delivery by the school.

Another prpblem is that a childs season ticket which costs £30 also gets 5 tickets which can be used for adults.

But why give them tickets, give them vouchers to get their tickets upon arrival

That would just overwhelm the ticket office on match-day Belle_Vue.

Surely someone from the community office could meet them outside the turnstile

Really, I always thought the offers were like for like?

I agree with that, Filo. People who do this need to have their collars felt. Mr Plod seems keen these days to take action against any offences recorded on social media (largely because the evidence is on public record) so has anyone notified them?

On a wider point, though- earlier this week people were calling for things to be done to get as many people into the ground as possible. This kind of abuse is a natural corollory of that.

For next season I'd suggest keeping the voucher Ms but reducing them to 2 free tickets. Also restrict the unused stubs to selected midweek games only.

They are all the same no matter from which season ticket they are bought.

Let them come on Saturday as we need as many bums on seats as we can, then ban them or make them pay double for a season ticket.

Fraid your info is wrong knockers, I'm an age concession ST holder and after querying whether I could exchange voucher M for "any age adult" tickets had an e mail back from Tracey telling me that it is like for like so kids can only exchange for kids, adult for adult and age concession for age concession.

... but in practise ?

I have just had 5 tickets via Voucher M (I think) 2 for Alliance Membership and one for a Thank you for being an Alliance Member

I am a scrote and have a Concession 60+ S Ticket but got all the above as "ordinary" Tickets and so gave them to friends and family none of which were over 60 - indeed some were under 12

I was happy with that and so were the recipients BUT I would never flog a single Ticket if it deprived The Club of a penny

Ravenrover, the info isn't wrong it's reality as donnywolf has confirmed. A stricter policy should be put in place for like for like and reduced to two per season ticket.

Like I said earlier, we're not sure yet where the bulk of these tickets being sold for a fiver are coming from. I agree with most however, the M voucher needs reform.

Going back to it's origin, we suggested it would be a good idea to empower ST holders to 'bring a friend' with a view to encouraging more support. I think we were surprised when it manifested in to 5 free tickets. I think a compromise could be had by being able to spread these over a season and perhaps being able to obtain a couple free and another couple at concessionary prices etc.

I too was disgusted when a fella approached me on my way to ticket office and asked if I wanted to buy tickets for a tenner!

Let's not lose sight of the purpose, because it does work, and let's pool our ideas/suggestions that may work better.

I'd like to be able to pull a voucher out of my book, give it to a friend and say, there you go, go and get a half price ticket on me. The club should still be able to trace the ticket back to me, so if there's anything dodgy going on, I'll take responsibility.

I personally think 5 tickets for 1 game is too many, leaving people with spare tickets to flog. When I used my voucher M I only claimed two of them.

Maybe 2tickets for two games a season would work better and cut down these t**ts making money from it.

Maybe the club have acted.
I have tickets ordered for my unused stubs but tried twice this afternoon to get two tickets on my voucher m but haven't been able to get through. I'm at work tomorrow morning so unless I can ring in my break my nephew and his son will miss out.
I wonder if there will be any tickets left for pay on the day?

I've not bothered with the M voucher, the free tickets I've received for being an Alliance member,I've given away but only to people I trust. Also the 5 tickets for one game is too many ,what about doing it twice a season, one before Xmas, one after for 2 tickets a time using another voucher perhaps F or H

I think its something the club need to sit down and have a real big think about...Even without the voucher M promotion there always seems to be a high amount floating about every week...Over on fb weve had posts from people moaning about investment one day then crowing they haven't had to buy a ticket all year on another...Were do they all come from..The players should get a couple each and that's it....I'm not even sure the schools should get some as from my experience they just get dished out in clumps....

Just this......Me and my mate have deliberately not used our Voucher M  this season because of this .
The times we've had it rammed down our throats over the last few seasons by friends , work mates , how they've got freebies or cheap tickets and that we've had to pay full price.
These same people come up with lame excuses why they can't make a game if they have to pay full price.
Well no more from me i'm afraid.
I know that VSC do a collection scheme for the Voucher M , but who's to say that these don't get sold on when given out.....I wouldn't trust anyone when there's cash to be .

Eastender,  rest assured that the voucher M's we collect get used for good causes and are never "sold on" . Recently this has included the children and their families receiving care at Bluebell Wood and local junior football teams.  In fact,  we are more than happy for users of the forum to suggest deserving cases to us via PM.

The legality on secondary selling of football tickets is clear. It is not allowed.

Just to make it clear RTR , i am not for one minute suggesting that any are sold on by VSC officials  ,far from it , but how can you be sure what happens when they've gone out of VSC control.
In most cases if not all ,  i'm sure they are used for the appropriate cause, but you never know nowadays.   :(
There's a lot of people out there ,  as we see on facebook who are out to make a quick Buck.

I'm not against people giving tickets away tomorrow. I advocated free admission for everyone anyway on another thread. But I am against anyone making money on them.
I've lost count of the number of times recently when I've been asked if I want a ticket for £5, £10 or whatever when I've been walking past the ticket office (once in full view and hearing of one of our SLO's) Maybe the stadium manager could have a word with the South Yorks police Silver Commander tomorrow and have a uniformed officer standing outside the ticket office.
That should stop the little barstewards. Because looking at Facebook, most of them are teenagers

I am playing the Devils advocate on this one.  Maybe it could be a reward or a way of getting a few quid back for paying for the season ticket that I paid for pre-season, or helping towards next seasons ticket.      I haven't done this at all. Voucher M was used as a one off at the last minute for my son to use at the Bolton game, I donated last seasons 'M' to the VSC.
