Major sponsors are confident
« on May 15, 2014, 01:38:22 pm by silent majority »
As I've mentioned elsewhere the commercial team have done an excellent job by retaining our major sponsors at the levels we enjoyed in the championship. In terms of meeting FFP regulations that's a major step compared to some of our opponents in as much as it grows our playing budget substantially. Story here;

As a lump sum,  Sammy,  the stadium naming deal was fine. That lump sum never went to the club though,  it went to the SMC as they were running the stadium at that time.

When the SMC was dissolved and the stadium leased to the rovers the agreement with the council was that the naming rights money would be apportioned and paid to the club as an annual payment. This was the only way the council could afford it, what with the incredibly severe budget cuts they have suffered over the past few years at the hands of this ConDem government.

I Don't know Boomstick,but it doesn't seem a lot over ten years,it would be good if it could be renegotiated,it would provide more funds.
Sorry, I was meaning how does the sponsorship deals compare to other league 1 teams? Specifically our promotion rivals.

I assume Boomstick means the deals with OneCall and Stoneacre and not the Keepmoat deal on the stadium.
