But as you will have no doubt seen, posters on here had criticised the club for lack of information, regardless of whether there was any to give.

Some posters seem to think that because there has been no transfer news, then there has been no transfer activity, but I would argue that that isn't the case, and this article backs that up.

Which parts of the bits I highlighted in bold don't equate to transfer activity?

All of those in bold. To my mind transfer activity implies deals done in the transfer market. I'm not suggesting for one minute that there won't be done deals announced at some point but 'activity'  can simply be viewed as an enquiry in some peoples eyes.

To me, activity involves all the behind the scenes negotiations that we aren't party to, with agents etc.  We only really see the conclusions of those activities, eventually.

We're not worried Rob, as nothing has happened and, despite plenty of "activity" - nothing still appears to be happening. Its empty words until something actually does happen.

Rotherham appear to have had plenty of transfer 'activity' lately!

I loved the New Semantics in the 80's. Ultravox were a particular favourite of mine.
