I think this is one thing the whole football community will agree on. For too long blatant corruption has been rife and the head man thinks he's beyond reproach. Jail terms and seizure of assets should be considered.

They should just cancel the whole Qatar farce and hold it here. We have everything in place already. More chance of snow in August though.

For all sorts of reasons they need to re-open the bidding process for 2022. If they try to play in the winter (and playing in the summer just isn't feasible) then I'm convinced that the top European clubs will not allow their players to go. It will be a farce.

Of those who were in the bidding process, I thought Australia should have got it, but I think they should allow other countries, such as England, to put a bid in.

It was basically stolen from Australia.

Are they going to sue FIFA?

Presumably there was nothing at all dodgy about the Russia award?

I wish countries would stand up and boycott FIFA. They are all bent and are a embarrassment to world football and countries their individuals represent. Saying that Uefa and the Fa are as bad.

IMO we are the only country who could hold the World Cup with a weeks notice, stadiums transport all there ready and waiting. It's just who offers the most money it seems nowadays.

Germany certainly could too.

And America. And more than likely Italy.

Brazil might be ready for 2022.

It's not certain about 2014 though!

Certainly not America and I doubt Italy either with the crowd trouble they have at every game.

Why not America? They'd be the very first in the list of those able to do it. And what's crowd trouble got to do with the ability to "hold the World Cup with a weeks notice, stadiums transport all there ready and waiting". That's what you commented on. Italy and America are both good shouts on that yardstick.

The Americans were almost chosen as replacement hosts in 1986 but FIFA chose Mexico instead.

I'm pretty sure the United States has the stadia and infrastructure to host a World Cup tournament at short notice.

Well seen as though policing would also take a part in hosting a world cup I think it has a massive contribution, as always on this forum can't have a proper discussion without people patronising others and looking for an argument. Fed up off it every thread, so that's me out, have a good one lads.

So what exactly about suggesting reasons to support his opinion is not a proper discussion?

Have you heard his latest load of old cobblers at congress today?  Football will be played on other planets!  We could have an interplanetary Cup, not just a World Cup.

Bonkers!

He'll be sticking a pencil up each nostril and shouting "Wibble" at passers by next.

Just saw this. The man's ridiculous. I have no doubt in my mind he is deadly serious about holding world cups on different planets. The massive Kitson.

I can't see Mercury getting to host the tournament, they're moaning about the temps in Qatar, so how will they cope with 400 degree's there, but then again money talks and if some Mercury inhabitant comes up with the necessary ready's I'm sure they could incorporate a couple more drinks breaks into the matches :)

He cant be as stupid as he comes across..either that or he has knowledge of a lot of skeletons in closets because even though the general opinion of FIFA across the world is that its a corrupt nobody ever seems to have the balls to stand against him....
