If you were Louis, what would you do?

We can argue for ever about how much of a fan of our club Louis actually is, but how would we, as individuals, buy into The Rovers if we had a windfall?
Personally, let's say I had 50 million, would be happy to 'play around' with a fifth of that without having to give up my 'fan' status. Is it possible to just give a million or two for signing players/paying wages, or would it have to go into the DRFC 'pot'?
I have to admit, I have never been so firmly sat on a fence as I am now.
My inclination is that we are still on an amazing roller coaster ride that my dad first took me on in the mid 70s. Sometimes I want to get off, but I can't because I know that this current slow climb up will lead to another loop the loop more exciting than the last one.
My heart says bring it on Louis. Don't worry what my head says; it's really boring.

If I won the Euromillions rollover £100mil jackpot, I'd offer to join the current board and match whatever they invested. On top of that I would subside every league match day ticket to the tune of £5. I reckon that'd cost about £1.5mil a year for a few years. The objective being to build a new larger home support.

What return do you think you get for every £10m you invest .imo you would loose it all  Rovers are loosing £2m + every year. League 1
Turnover £3m - 4m
Over heads £2m
Wages £2-3m
Bonuses £500k
Agents fees£150k
Loan signing fees£150k

Without larger crowds long term money is flowing out quicker than it comes in .what you gain from promotion you loose in higher costs from wages and fees . Rovers would only need a season to serve 1 season in the premier league to set them up long term But it cost £50m + just to get the chance .

If I was him the first thing I would do is double check the ID of any of those groupies I was dabbling with. They are clamping down on that kind of thing nowadays. How many boy band members from the past must be bricking themselves?
As far as buying into a football club. I wouldn't go near one. Not worth the trouble. After all JR has done for Rovers people still slag him off.

as a VSC member, why would you do that Brendan?

If I had the money of TB or DW I'd gift the the VSC the FL golden share and ensure they had 51% ownership of the club.

Well, if I had the money of TB I'd also finance the loss

The trust wouldn't have to finance the club if they had the majority share. Investors would always be nervous buying into a club where they don't have the majority vote, but agreements such as the trust don't have a say on employing staff, buying players, hiring manegers etc would sweeten the deal for potential owners.

It's my opinion that if an investor won't invest in a club under these sorts of conditions e.g they can't keep all the parachute payments if a club reaches the prem, then they probably have an ulterior motive
