It wasn't just the chip at the end. It started with yet another solid tackle in our half which he controlled and ran forward with, looking for that killer pass and... superb stuff, real class. This lad has something special.

To be honest when he first came on he looked a yard off it and slightly unsure of his role. Classy play for the goal, hope he comes on for that cameo as Keegs and Furman are very one dimensional playing together.

The York game is perfect to get him ninety minutes to give him confidence, you can't make loads of changes against them because they are a very decent side.
Get De Val in a couple of the kids to get them some minutes, leave the defence alone though, let them get used to playing together.

True Keith if we could get through to the later rounds, get a big draw that pays for at least one decent loan player,or may be a free transfers wages.
York are a good side though, some decent players in their side, but it's about how we play, play our best we win, take it for granted and they will do to us what we used to do to the teams in higher league's.

Plus some of our greatest memories following the rovers came from Dave Pennys cup run.

I was one in a sauna in Dubai with Senderos. That's a whole new story though.

What a ball to set up Theo.... dink....

He did the same last week when he put the ball through for Curtis Main to score.

I think he was told to just plug the gaps, put a bit of pressure on them in the middle and see what he could do. He seemed very aware of his positioning, his tackles were solid and he kept it simple whilst you could see he was always on the look out for a livelier opportunity and he made that one resulting in our third.

He has an active mind and isn't afraid to push on. Exactly what we need in midfield, giving us quick attacking potential from a defensive position, something we have missed since Wellens was here first time around. Furman especially will be hard pushed to keep his place in the starting lineup.

He played an even better pass for Main's goal in the friendly vs Rotherham. Looked up and picked out his run from near enough the half way line.

All the assists just like the finishes were a good standard but Forresters pass was better than De Vals for me

It was a beauty Forresters, awful defending though, Main had acres.
