What a great start to the year.

They weren't great but we put them (and the ref) to the sword with some very untypical pace and clinical finishing. We've been on the receiving end of teams scoring at will, it's so great to see us with players who are confident in front of goal and have the quality to back it up.

Attacking/breaking with pace has been becoming more prominent over the last few years and it's been something we've been greatly lacking in for a while. Despite the lightness of the squad I like the balance of the current best 11 - tight down the spine and rapid down the flanks and up top.

No I was a right back that never crossed the half way line to the point that I made Gary Neville seem as attacking as Cafu. The one time I did I earned the ironic nickname "Eboue"!

Good luck for the season,  mate. We've picked a couple up and lost a couple. Overall we're a little stronger I'd say.
