Obviously all a lot of tosh, but it did set me wondering as to why he might quit. The only reason would surely be to take a job with another club. If it was unhappiness over the playing budget he would have gone once the takeover fell through.

He'll not quit for all the reasons stated (financial) plus it'd be a long, long time before he was offered the chance to chat with the 4th official anywhere else!
