Poor goals to concede
« on September 14, 2014, 10:52:58 pm by Donny Viking »
Just seen the goals, and all 3 are very poorly defended.  Didn't go to game so can't comment on what else we did or didn't do, but you can't blame Dickov for shit defending like that! Yes he bought the team, but in very difficult circumstances.  Forester getting sent off is also not Dickov doing, crazy second yellow.

Team has got to turn it around soon agreed, but we're only a few points of the playoffs.  Give them time, and if we are 19th at Xmas and still playing crap change it, but don't over react to early. :scarf:

To some extent I can forgive the third as they were trying to chase the game with 10 men, but the first one was in many ways as bad as the second. No-one taking charge and the ball allowed to bounce around in the box for what seemed an eternity. Was Jones injured by then? He seemed to be trying to get across to take charge of the situation but arrived too late. Doesn't excuse others standing around like a load of dummies in Burton's window though.

How many goals conceded at set pieces now? What the heck do they practise on the training ground?! I'm sorry but either the players aren't following what PD preaches about defending correctly or, he's not preaching anything because he's clueless.

Agree, but is it Dickov on the training ground or the coaches that are failing?  I'm not sure pros need coaching on how to defend the goals we conceded on Saturday, that's pretty basic stuff that you would not expect to see on a Sunday morning at your local field.  I'm just questioning is getting rid of Dickov the answer, or are our issues more fundamental?  Young players and small coaching team.....

I always wonder what role our revered assistant manager has been employed to discharge......
