Registering A Domain Name

Just after a bit of advice from the great brains that peruse this forum regarding registering domain names. Can anyone recommend a site to do this (will be a .co.uk) and when you purchase the domain I presume you get so much web space and so many email mailboxes or is that something you have to set up separately?  I don't need an all singing all dancing thing, it's only for a little work sideline, I'm not planning on taking over the world of free internet porn or anything.

I always use Bargain Hosts,   lots of options, domain name of choice is free.

theres even a site builder option in the CPanel that offers free templates of websites to use.
