Because it's a cup game even their ST holders will have to pay the extra. It's poor pricing that's for sure.
This was an ideal game to reduce prices, help the fans a bit who come regular, and try to snare a few back, plus the team get's better support in trying to get to the third round.
I Just don't want to watch the third round draw, and Oldham get a great tie,we have to get through, no matter what, the money, prestige, possible TV Coverage and just basic pride, come on lads.
Another lost opportunity to fill the ground.
Agreed MD but I would imagine that half price tickets don't equate to double the number generally! Yes however a reduction in price would mean slightly more fans and more concourse revenue! I had a few discussions with shaun, gavin et al last season while on the mic and in theory it's a great idea but in reality rarely shows fruition!

Not sure the draw works like that, ie that either us or Oldham get the same team next round. Assuming the tie is decided on time without a replay, then either team has a separate 3rd round draw number. I believe (I may be wrong) that the numbers are Prem and Championship 1-44 then 45-64 the 2nd round winners in alphabetical order. So if we win, we'll be say 51, but if Oldham win they may be 57. So if we lose and 57 gets drawn out at home to Arsenal that doesn't mean we would have got Arsenal had we won in the first place. Different if we draw, we would share a number with Oldham. It annoys me when folks think (not you, I am generalising) that "if we had beaten Oldham we would have had Arsenal", unless in the circumstances of a replay.
