Yes definitely chipped the post and yes Theo djid have the chance to shoot on a couple of occasions but ffs give this lad a break......he played well and was a team player and got his ovation for a bloody good reason. He is not Aguero or Van Persie .....jeez God give me strength !!

People are just pointing out where Theo wasn't on point today, nothing wrong with that. He worked very hard today and was a nuisance which meant he put in a good performance but the comments are right - it could easily have been 3/4 by half time if not for Theo's indecision in attack. Nevertheless I stood up and applauded him when he went off because he out in a good shift.

On the topic, Forrester was absolutely superb today. Coventry's defenders won't be sleeping tonight thanks to his showing today.

That's what he's capable of and yet we had people saying over last weeks put him on the transfer list... Clueless! Young lad with lack of confidence when he's on song he's one of the best players in the division.

I said we should consider moving him on,yes he was outstanding unplayable but the fact remains he hasnt been for the majority of the season he hasn't contributed anything close to what he should have..If he can start getting a level of consistency in his game then that's brilliant for us,but it needs to be a lot more than one fantastic performance every blue moon...Even yesterday he dived in at the corner flag with a few Mins to go..touch the player and he was off...long way to go yet for me

maybe hes playing for a move, but it might be no coincedence that hes took advantage of bennets injury because i cant see dickov playing both together and bennett was in charge of that position and rightly so on his performances this season

Been saying to all and sundry that he needs to be given game time as he is our most dangerous player

Best wide performance we've had for some time. Reminded me of mcindoe.

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me;
5 McIndoe's Forrester's
4 Forrester's
3 Forrester's
2 Forrester's
And a Harry Fo-orrester

Thank goodness he produced a performance as my mates thought I was taking out of my arse when I told them what good player he is. Long time coming but let's hope that's given him the confidence and belief to re-produce that more often.

That chip by the way was outrageous and he would have had to thread a needle to score and, he nearly did.

Donnyrovers I am one of the clueless ones, and tipped a return to form before the transfer window as well.
The lad has had no interest up untill now, has hung Evina out to dry and has cost us big time In the first half of the season.
Has a lot to do as far as I am concerned, enjoyed the performance yesterday and at  Swindon up untill then he has been pants.
Lets see if he continues to be interested in playing well for DRFC. long term thats a question still to be answered.

I'm surprised by the praise their is getting, yes he ran about a lot but his first touch was terrible all day and there were two great crosses put in between the keeper and the six yard box which he failed to even attempt to attack. Hope he turns it around but he needs confidence I think.

Harry on the other hand was outstanding. The best individual outfield performance I have seen from an attacking player in many moons.

Funny how perceptions differ - I thought Robinson worked hard but is completely unsuited to the solo striker role. He struggles to hold the ball up and bring others into play. There were also 2 occasions in the 2nd half where the ball flashed across the 6 yard box and he was hanging around 12 yards out - both times he should have been gambling. I thought Main did more in the 10 minutes he was on than 80 minutes beforehand - he did miss a good chance from 5 yards out but at least he got in the position for it, whereas Robinson would have most likely still been on the edge of the box.

If we are going to play one up top, I think we are better off playing Main before getting Robinson on to run at tiring legs for the last 20 minutes.

And please don't call me a moaner for this post. If football managers didn't try to think how they could improve the team after every game, irrespective of the result, they wouldn't be doing their job properly.

Just to reply to the original topic, I'm not sure that I can recall a better individual performance in recent years. Fantastic stuff, I really hope that we can get that week in week out but even if not, it's great when it happens.

I thought Robinson was excellent, he never gave the CB a minutes peace all game, I don't think Maine could play with the same intensity for as long as Robinson did. Robinsons big downfall is that when he has to think about things he usually messes up, he needs chance on impulse rather than having time to think, and one thing you can't fault is his effort. A Derby supporting mate told me the exact same thing when we signed him

Theo grafted his nads off and I gave him my standing ovation when subbed, but, the chance late in first half injury time where he received the ball on the edge of the box with the defence wide open and all he had to do was play a nursery ball into the gap with two players running in for it and he played it behind them both.  Chance gone.
Like already said, he's hopeless when a bit of thought is needed.

Couldn't make the game due to family commitments but I'm delighted to read how well Forrester played.
Not before time - he certainly owes us.

I can't expect HF to perform like that every game, but he should be doing that more often than not.  He tore the Coventry defence a new one on Friday.

Thanks for the link Harrogate Rover.  Unfortunately the clip doesn't show HF's cheeky chip from a tight angle that beat the 'keeper but not the bar.  A goal of the season contender if it had gone in.

Yes thanks for that HR. I missed the first goal because Lesley was rummaging in her handbag for something and I was having a sneaky look in it just when Forrester scored.
