Less than an hour and a half after the game and their forum has nearly 250 posts on the match! http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/52273-Doncaster-Match-Thread

Feel a bit sorry for Presley; their fans are really putting the boot into him! And we think that Dickov is having a bad time.

Cant wait to see what follows

Loved them chanting off off off for their own player and doing the Ole for every pass WE completed

Rarely have Rovers passes been cheered so much by the visiting fans.
bizarre really but they were 2 goals and 2 players down.

Ironic cheers surely that we would play keep-ball with ten minutes to go, 2 goals up and them with only 9 men.

Just a shame we didn't go for the jugular. Lacked a bit of killer instinct.

I think the jugular was long gone. To have piled in at that stage would have been more akin to mutilating the lifeless corpse, something that will win no friends on either the football or the battlefield. The game was won and there is no merit in rubbing their faces in it. Sure, if we'd been level or behind, I would have fully expected the team to push and attack, but at 2up with 10 to play, I think professionals will show other professionals some respect.

They're professionals, surely they played to improve the goal difference. As it turned out 5 nil would have moved us up a place.

They're professionals so at 2-0 up, 15 mins to go and the game won, they made the choice to conserve energy and reduce injury risk by playing keep ball bearing in mind it was 48 hrs till the next game.
Bit boring for us but correct for them.

I would have thought a balance would have been to press for the 3rd goal at least, to really close out the game, but without over stretching to risk injury etc.

We have been lacking goals - it isn't disrespectful in a league match to go for improving the goal difference - we were relegated last season on goal difference weren't we?

If it was a cup tie, at 2-0 vs 9 men with 15 mins to go, yes, shut down.  But we had the opportunity to increase the goals for tally.  That was the only slightly disappointing thing about the game.

Tell me about it...I got pissed off with the way my bets went last week so I lumped everything that was left in my betfair account on there being 3 or more goals in our game. It wasn't a lot of money, but my account is now wiped out.
