When I go away I prefer an aisle seat so that I can have my left leg which doesn't bend much in the aisle.
I can usually find a seat ok although it isn't in the centre of the goal.
Last season I was in the front row versus Blackburn and the same this year at Valley Parade this year, I was happy with the view both times.
I know where the ones that want to stand and jump about are and I'm quite happy to be at the side.

I think it would be better if there could be unreserved seating at away games, even if only half the seats were available in this way.

Same at home too, but on a larger scale.

When I go to an away game I take my allocated seat first, then if I want to move to a different area for whatever reason, I will  if there is another seat free.

It usually works that way IDM, most clubs allow you to sit wherever you wish. The major difficulty with that is when the away support is a virtual sell out. Allowing unreserved seating, or people moving around as they wish, takes up a lot more room than the numbers allowed for, hence certain clubs insisting you take up your allocated seat.

Added to that the 'overflow' section that all clubs generally allow for late arrivals and other contingencies will have been allocated as well, making the taking up of your ticketed seat more important. That aside it should never be a problem for people to move around.

Quite often SM a steward at the away ground tells me "sit where you want", which is fine.  I agree it can be difficult if the away end sells out, for example if a family with kids arrives late they may struggle to find their seats together?

On Boxing Day I heard chants of "F@*k the DRSG", which is so pathetic considering how much those boys have done to unify our support.

I've been at many away games this season and many times I've herd comments like here come the f***ing idiots? This when all the teenagers start entering the ground, could it be some have herd this said ? And you forgot the other song? You can shove ya f***ng forum up your arse, do these lads think it's vsc members saying these comments, Hence the songs? No matter what every one thinks these young lads are the future of the club, back to the problem of seating and standing, there as got to be a return for some terraced areas thus keeping all supporters happy and they can choose either option at games.every one knows a lot of atmosphere went wen grounds became all seater. And I thought we took a lot more support the figures say . Must be just the noise we made

Okay could it be possible that people have seen  some of these people letting Pyro off  and pissed up etc, lets face it the away support tends to be fairly static, the same people going to all games

You can shove ya f***ng forum up your arse, do these lads think it's vsc members saying these comments, Hence the songs?

How the hell would they know just because someone is middle aged or old doesn't mean they are a forum member or even a vsc member

No matter what every one thinks these young lads are the future of the club

yes they are and thats one thing nobody would dispute.

the problem of seating and standing, there as got to be a return for some terraced areas thus keeping all supporters happy and they can choose either option at games

Unfortunately at this point in time terracing/safe standing is basically illegal at football grounds (exceptions being lower league that are given x number of seasons to become all seater)  Try to change things the proper ways!

.every one knows a lot of atmosphere went wen grounds became all seater

I don't think anyone really disagrees with this

And I thought we took a lot more support the figures say

and thats happened for donkeys years  ;)

and thats my personal view and jack all to do with me being a forum or vsc member  :)

I've never been next to a pyro been set off . But lads from Askern tell me there bad . So I'll take a back seat on that one , but surely we got to campaign for a terrace area to keep the young ones together ? Remember the Bellevue end ? And may I add there are other factions within the club appart from these young lads and that is the DDR ? And no I don't think all vsc members are old and middle aged and neither do these kids .dont forget they may come from your village? So they may no who you are

Some do know who I am I don't particularly hide it, they know my views and the reason why I hold those views.

The problem is in our day you could get away with all sorts, there was no cctv, no coppers filming away supporters just for the hell of it,  no H+S, oh the footpaths round the stadium are slippy cos weve had a bit of frost if you went out in the snow you took the chance and you knew you just might slip over you didn't think of sueing anybody it happens its bloody icy etc etc

and nowadays standing, pyros etc  are illegal  whether you like it or not, and the chances are you will be caught, 1st time you will probably get away with it, 2nd time you are being watched, 3rd time you are nicked was an old adage, nowadays the chances are you'll be nicked first time.

I never used to think about the effect stuff I got up to had on older people now I'm older with some health issues I realise what a t**t I was  :)
