More detail on Chesterfield striker Eoin Doyle's proposed move to Cardiff City from BBC Radio Sheffield's Andy Giddings on Twitter: "400K now. 450k over the next 12 months, plus a 15% sell on clause and further money upon promotion to the PL. so yes..pretty good."
Doyle, 26, has scored 25 goals in all competitions for Chesterfield this season.

I don't believe in over-inflated transfer fees, but this sounds cheap to me...

Not many transfers are paid in one hit. That structure is the norm £850k. Duffy going to Chesterfield now.

I just meant £850K is cheap for someone bagging 25 goals before the end of January.

Forest paid £5.5M for Assombalonga last summer, having hit 33 for Peterborough in the previous season.  Now that is too much IMHO, I would have valued both £1.5-£2M max.

Duffy joins Chesterfield on loan for a month.

Never seemed to hit it off at Birmingham IMHO.

It seems Eoin Doyle is on the verge of joining Cardiff City as Chesterfield have just tweeted that a deal has been agreed for an undisclosed seven-figure fee.

Spireites chief executive Chris Turner told the club’s website: "We have reached an agreement with Cardiff after negotiating a deal we feel is good business for the club.  Some of the money we receive will be used to reduce the club's debt but funds are also being made available to manager Paul Cook to strengthen the squad and one or two signings are in the pipeline."
