Rovers/Dons double header

noticed they have posters up in the bogs that promote Dons games that give free entry to Sheff Eagles games straight after. Hopefully Club Doncaster can come up with a promotion for Good Friday when Dons play Sheffield at 3pm & we play Bradford at 7.45, reckon a few might make a day of it if they get the price right for the rugby, also a few Dons fans might hang about for our game.

I'm not surprised they have moved the Dons game, even though I was told it would be a double header. I can't believe the Football League would be happy about another game taking place on the same day.

If the footy had been in the afternoon it would probably have been ok.

It's happened before a few years ago though John. Really racking my memory but I'm sure Dons played Halifax and think Rovers played Preston on an Easter Monday ?

I remember stopping back for the Halifax game, it was 30 odd nil at half-time, I was sat near some noisy Halifax fans who were chanting we want 50-60-70-80-90.I left at h/t telling the steward I had remembered why had stopped going. More fool me the Dons scored 20 odd points in the second half, I don't think Halifax scored again.
