Women's World Cup

Just watched the England vs Columbia match tonight. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality.

In terms of pace, physicality and technique, I'd put it on a par with the men's game 50 years ago.

If you've got a couple of hours, have a look over this and think on how much men's football has improved over the past half century.

First half was excellent and second half was a bit edgy. I was critical of the mangers selection and tactics v France but he got it spot on tonight.

I've watched a few games and the quality had been better than I have seen before. Camaroon came back brilliantly v Swiss last night and their goals were top notch. Men's teams would been happy with the same execution.

The England ladies ran themselves in to the ground tonight. I just hope the men were watching!
