Far from the subject matter but WHY do they want / need a new Stadium ? Are they going to "do a Morecambe" and have a new Stadium with an increased capacity of about 100 ?

Just curious

Its tired, old, small and has none of the amenities that new stadiums have. This one is meant to be complete with leisure and conference facilities as well. In this day and age football clubs have to be doing business 7 days a week to be able to compete.

On top of that they have an opportunity to do a deal with the local authority as Glanford Park is in the ideal place for retail developments

I can't say for sure he will be top scorer, or whether he's finished. I doubt he's finished quite yet. Comparing him with Main is a bit insulting. Nothing against Main but he has a lot to prove.

Someone like David Mooney could be a value bet. He's done it at this level. Just depends what Southend are like as a team.

Quite happy for Sharp to be favourite. Should get better odds on Rovers' players. Take your pick.

As I started this feed because I like a small flutter to make Saturday afternoons exciting I thought Id like to say that Harry Forrester isn't in the top 100 players in the betting table. below are the players that BET 365 are automatically giving odds for. I've got to apply for odds on Forrester.
I'll let you know what they are when I find out but half of my winnings (if I get any are going to www.justgiving.com/stewartjackson1000/  Muscular Dystrophy research). I do this every time I have a season bet.

Are there any of the lower order that you fancy a daft 50p on?

Main excepted: Marcus Tudgay could be worth a daft 50p, as could Grant Holt, Nardiello and Van Veen - gonna be an interesting year for sure!

Do you ever get the feeling you are being ignored South?.

Does it really?  An unusual roof design on one stand?  We have the angled floodlights?

What's the big difference that makes it better?

It looks superb in it's own right. Presumably glass or perspex roofs to let more light in and that main stand design. It will be a nice looking ground. The Keepmoat has it's own interesting features like the floodlights.

Of course, the original design for the Moat had a lot more interesting features but these got scaled back due to cost. I dare say the same might happen with Scunny.

Where is their new ground, btw? Is it Gunness way?

Its going on the other side of the M181 from the current ground. The motorway will be de-regulated to allow a roundabout to be constructed and allow traffic onto the site.

Thanks SM. I had read about the plans to deregulate the M181 in my last job. I didn't know it was connected to the new stadium.

I do fancy a small bet on Main at that price. I really rate him and think he could become our star man. However he does need some luck with injuries
