Ticket update
« on August 06, 2015, 11:13:15 am by Copps is Magic »
My old man has just been down the ticket office this morning. Was told that by monday we had sold 3,200 season tickets and they are 'busy' selling season tickets/memberships and tickets for the Bury game. Leeds have sold 2,500 away tickets for that game and we sold 2,500 tickets also. Bury had sold 230 (by monday) for the first game but they are expecting 'about a thousand'.

(I don't know if that season ticket number includes memberships/corporate tickets/multi-game tickets)

What did we sell last season

I believe (I may be wrong) we sold about 3,500 and when all the corporate/multi tickets were are added on it came to just over 4,000. So it seems we might reach similar levels this year. As I said before, I think a lot more people are aware of the membership scheme and will chose that this season.

Got one of those member cards last season, easily worth the £10. Will be getting another one for this season too.

Echo the clubs message for those yet to buy tickets. Book early.

Could be a large roll up on the day with queues at the ticket office. Alternatively, join the fun on the Black Bank by paying on the gate.

He's also just told me that a lot of those who were aggrieved with the decision to make the SS unreserved and who were offered same price tickets in the West, have swapped their tickets back to the SS after they've heard the atmosphere in pre-season games.

Fingers crossed that they join in with the atmosphere and aren't there only to suck it in.

Anyone who had a reserved seat last season (me included) will be able to sit in virtually the same spot if they get in early enough.
If it means sitting a few seats away from last seasons place, well does it matter that much.
Personally, i am looking forward to being able to flit around and try different places ( i was going to say "try different positions" but the wife might read it).

Roll on saturday (2 more sleeps).

I'm sure over the course of the season you'll find your preferred spot for most matches, and relax in the knowledge you be there or thereabouts.

Enjoy trying different spots and, exercising your option to jump up and down if you want to!

It adds a bit of spice to it. I'm sure most know the feeling of having a season ticket and the people sat behind you happen to be rate moaning so and so's! Problem solved.
