New manager interviews.
« on September 10, 2015, 10:01:06 am by Colin C No.3 »
Wouldn't it be 'useful' to have a supporter as part of the interview panel?

I'm sure the board & chief exec will ask 'pertinent questions', but with all due respect to them & of course mindful it's their money that will pay his salary, will they be asking the sort of questions that posters on here (the 'sane ones'!) are asking? Questions such as,

'What is your playing philosophy, i.e., expansive attacking, a rigid formation in which each player has & knows his own role, possession football with short passes & a patient build up or the 'long ball' style?'

'Have you identified players that you would like to add to the squad in order for the team to play the style of football you want?'

'Mindful of the budget you will be working with, would you be looking to bring in players from lower divisions that you believe could play at this level, or would you be looking for players that have 'proved themselves' at a higher level but who are now at an age where they may no longer be able to 'perform' at that high level but would still be an asset in this division & hopefully the Championship.?.

'What contacts do you have inside the game that would enable you to bring in 'quality loanees' should you feel the squad needs such options?'.

Just a thought.

I think that possibly any applicant that isn't successful might not want it known that they had applied.
Confidentiality might be the problem. Any fan would be quizzed by friends and fellow fans about who had applied what they were like and which board members preferred which applicant. Some answers could then provide ammunition at a later date for fans real or perceived misjudgement.
