Managers don't take jobs until they have been paid out from the previous one.
He was at Oldham on Saturday making loads of notes.
Not sparkling is it? So why is everyone clamouring for him? Realistic? Yes, but inspirational manager with a winning record? Hardly.Would love a big name but we'd end up spending more on the manager than the team! For me it will either have to be someone with a proven, if patchy record (Nigel Clough?) Someone desperate to get back on a managerial pathway (Paul Ince / Stuart Pearce type?) or an unproven prospect that might excite the fans, recently retired player perhaps with current contacts and the respect of the players for their playing career and sees this as a stepping stone to bigger and better things (Giggs, Neville?)If we were going to go down the ex player route though, would Graeme Jones consider giving up the assistant role at Everton for a chance in the hotseat or Glynn Snodin. Have either had the opportunity to take the top job somewhere? Both have been relatively successful coaches or assistant managers?
Paul Ince
Very few managers out of work or ones we could afford will have a brilliant record hence the reason they are out of work
