He's Academy Director at Hull, isn't he? I suppose it all depends if he fancies a stab at management. Incidentally I do wonder the same about Redfearn- does he see his career as a manager or as an Academy boss?

His job is Head of Youth at Hull where he reports to the Academy Director, Tony Pennock.

He's been there a long time. Three spells as caretaker in the early 2000s.

I know Billy well, he's a very thoughtful intelligent bloke. Think he prefers an easy stress free life, not one who likes to be in the limelight. Can't see him wanting to get into football management at this time in his life.

Course, if you were wanting to up the odds of the real contenders, you might push a credible line like this...
