You know what?

I 100% agree with Rob Jones in his post-match interview. And fair play to him.

What will be vey interesting is the attitude and application of the players on Tuesday night.

Jonesy is right when he says the quality is there in this set of players, but the effort is lacking.

IMO they had a f**king easy ride with Dickov. How hard was he really working them? It seems not much... He really has left a mess.

Put up or shut up time for a few.

But then, do they not have it easier with Jones at the minute? Coppinger said last week that he, as well as the majority (I believe) wanted Jones to be the top man.

Is that an easy 'get out'? For me now, it needs a totally different manager to come in, give all the players a kick up the arse, make them all play for their places in the starting XI, and get 10/10 from each and every one of them, week in and week out!

Just my opinion of course!!

Not saying he should be the next manager, but he's properly pissed off. This next week might be tasty.

I thought Jones handled the Radio Sheffield post match interview brilliantly. After witnessing that performance I wanted Jones out as soon as possible, and was cringing in anticipation of what his comments were going to be.

I thought he was very impressive though, much to my surprise.

If as quoted they want RJ as manager , then they are going the right way to make sure he doesn't get it.
I would say he needs at least 4pts from the next 2 fixtures both at home (Swindon Barnsley) to even stand a chance.

What I don't understand is why it's taken him 3 games in charge to realise that the effort is lacking in several players. It was obvious before he took charge and he should have been looking to snap them out of it from the get go rather than waiting until a few more inept performances took place.

I actually changed my opinion on RJ after that interview,he quite rightly says you can keep telling players what to do in training and during a game but if they wont do what is asked of them then whoever the manager is he's buggered,i dont think he is ready to take on the managers job that i  think will decide if we bounce between the champ or league 1,or league 1 and 2 and still think we need a total change of players and ideas to come in,though i do think in a few years time that RJ will be a good manager

I agree. I was all for giving Jones a go, and I think he'll make a decent manager, either for us or someone else.

This lot doesn't need a GP though, it needs a surgeon.

I agree. I actually want Jones to be manager and be successful, but is he ready yet? I'm not sure.

I do believe his time will come and I hope it is with us. Just not now.

I hope he realises he still has lots to offer on the pitch. It's understandable him wanting to set up his next career move while he's got this chance but every manager who has played the game says their playing days were the best.

Jones still has 2 or 3 seasons left possibly and I think we do need a fresh face to sort this mess out.

Jones, Laws or Derry? I'd take Jones.

Jones, Laws or Derry? I'd take Jones.

Have to say with that field it would be Jones.

Do we know that Laws has applied? He might be doing some scouting for us or Jones might be asking his advice on something.

People are criticising the old-timers and rightly so but I look at the players signed under Dickov: Main, Taylor-Sinclair, Gobern, McKenzie, Chaplow and think that is one average list of players.

Yes I agree. He's not spent wisely, now we're left with a squad of average and "past their best" players. Was it a case of that was all we could afford with the funds available or were these Dickovs first choice targets?

He's been referring to himself in the third person again. What a tool. This hard man act is a load of b*llocks. It's 2015 and it's a thinking mans game, we don't need a sergeant major.

The problem is, as I see it anyway, is the squad is so paper thin the team is picking itself. They can be shite every week, as many of them have been, and still get picked because there's no-one else.
We need new players in, and we need them now. And a new manager in my opinion.

Not in midfield it isn't.  We swapped Keegan and Wellens for Chaplow and Gobern.  God knows why - yes I know Keegan and Wellen have their critics, but by christ Gobern and Chaplow bring f**k all to the team.

Stewart was OK and N'Guessan didn't even get a look in after doing well in the previous game.

Curtis main should take a good look at Connor Sammon, who was always a threat to us IMHO.

I was impressed with Anderson, looks a good player.

We desperately need to tighten up that defence too.

The sooner people realise Andy Butler is a waste of space the better. Man he's a nice bloke but a shit footballer.

I think that is harsh to be honest. He has definitely made mistakes but up until Saturday we had one of the best defences in the league. He's also playing alongside players who arn't natural full backs so its admirable  how he has performed IMO.

As I said though, he is prone to mistakes.

That's how bad we are, that Connor Sammon was a threat, he hasn't been a threat since he has been a pro, i have yet to see him do well against anybody.
