With the possibility of a route to Frankfurt from DSA will many be going over for a game or two?

A rovers friendly would be very tempting

Was there any truth in the rumours we were supposed to play schalke away about 5-10 years ago
Was really looking forward to that but nothing materialised

I would encourage anyone to get over to a Bundesliga game, if they can.

I'd be going to a game or two if this happened yes.

Already got a ticket for a Dortmund game.

 :that:YES

Blimey ... its deffo nostalgia day for me ! First the Pocock Pentagon Boots I got in 1962 popped up on one thread and then the very name Eintracht Frankfurt takes me right back to the European Cup Final of 1960 ish (guess) and I seem to think it was at Hampden Park (guess) with about a foot square Goal Posts and Bar (guess)

Will add the You Tube video and see if I got owt right !!! I immediately thought of a massacre 9-3 but remembered that was an England Scotland game and Real only got 7 goals to EF's 3

Frankfurt airport is the gateway to any other European city so it pretty much allows you to fly anywhere in Europe from Doncaster.

I've been to Frankfurt before for a few days (and Darmstadt), it's a nice enough place - stuff to keep you interested for a few days but I think other German cities have more in the way of attractions. The 'Romer' district has actually mostly been rebuilt recently in mock old German style my friend told me. He didn't like it personally. Most memorable part was buskers on the main shopping street with two pots for money - one said 'hard drugs' the other said 'even harder drugs'.

Of course, SV Darmstadt 98 are also in the Budesliga now so you could go and watch them as well.

Thanls dknward. The reason why its caught my attention is I am looking at starting a job in Darmstadt in the next few months and as mentioned earlier its very close to Frankfurt. This would be ideal for me

Anywhere in the world actually. Frankfurt is one of the very biggest global hubs.

I live away from Doncaster, but I hear there's a railway link from there to Leeds. Anyone interested in seeing one of Europe's top clubs at Elland Road?

Eintracht Frankfurt also have an awesome kit, although I am slightly biased due to my love of all things Alfa.

Me too. Myself and friends went to Cologne vs. Ingolstadt, 3 weeks ago. Amazing atmosphere and the matchday experience was brilliant, too.

Nice shirt.
I would look so cool, continental and gorgeous cruising the streets of Birmingham in my MiTo wearing one, do they make the shirts in beergut/bellbottom sizes which are stain resistant?

Have we just found a candidate for next season's away shirt? (possibly with the red pinstripes as hoops, maybe?)
