Rovers v Forest Green Rovers
« on October 24, 2015, 07:35:16 pm by les@donr »
Rovers v Forest Green Rovers (assuming they are promoted from the National Premier League) will be a fixture next season if things at the club and with the team are not turned around soon. It seems as if we are on a such a decline that even with a new manager doesn't seem preventable.

So after 2 games one of which we won, you're stating the manager is going to get us relegated??

Given the funds to bring in his own players I don't see DF letting that happen. Like has been posted on another thread, a hammering like this will highlight our weaknesses to the new manager. They're pretty obvious.

I thought someone had had a premonition of Monday night's FA Cup draw!

I tend to be an optimist and I cant see us going down and will not be panicking for ages yet

We wanted a new Manager (or at least to get rid of the last one) and now we have one. I reckon we need stability in defence and that may take till the next "window" but long term we WONT go down

I am sure I have pledged some Charity money for Bluebell Wood if we go down on another thread already and I stick by that ... mid table or just below !

Quite right, but if little is done before January, ie loans, then we will be ibn a mess, but I don't see DF letting that happen.

Problem with getting players in January it means they are more expensive as a rule,we don't like paying transfer fees at the best of times

We almost defintely won't go down, and promotion is only on the cards if he can get players out and in that he decides on.

A few decent wins out of the next set of games and we will be out of the bottom 4.

A bad defeat does not a bad season make!!

My first ever game was Rovers vs Forest Green, so the nostalgia feel will be good at least if (when?) this becomes reality.

As long as we don't have Dino Maamria and Mike Newell up front anyway.

Dino's turning circle was bigger than that of a battleship Draytonian! Fun to watch though I agree.

We are are where we are in the league, and it doesn't lie. We are not too good to go down. Look at Yeovil, they seem to be in terminal decline. Could have a third successive relegation out of the league.

She got worse. We were married 26 seasons before the final divorce.
I made the same mistake as our board with Dickov. Looking on the bright side I've now retired financially sound and the mark 2 a big improvement.
If the Rovers go the same way we've nothing to worry about.
