I always thought we should be debating what happens on the pitch, and the team etc and not how many folks watch.

Sort the first and the latter will follow.

I don't care if we have 3000 fans and are winning, rather that than 12000 and playing badly and losing..

Unfortunately, IDM without a fanbase you don't generate money to invest in the team. It's a vicious circle downward sadly without boardroom investment. It's naive to think crowd numbers at this level don't impact on things that happen on the pitch.

I am not saying there isn't a link, just that it is pointless arguing about it.  And yes, it probably takes longer to get fans back through the turnstiles than it does to lose them.#

However, the performances and the results would be the main driver - wouldn't they?
