Doncaster Rovers have confirmed the contract of veteran midfielder Richie Wellens has been cancelled by mutual consent,this means his contract ends & there will be nothing to pay just free to find another clubMY understanding is that it means that the player will receive a proportion of his wages owing time up until the end of his contract. Maybe Wellens should be praised for not enforcing a pay off from the club, though it suits him so he can join who he wants, if he was greedy, he could have held on until the end of the contract.
