I'm just wondering
« on January 07, 2016, 09:20:29 pm by Twinkletoes »
I'm just wondering what the queues in the BVB and the concourses  will be like on Saturday.  They struggle with the stadium at less than half capacity so be interesting to see how they manage. Who thinks they will have taken on extra staff to cope with the 12,000 plus expected?

Depends entirely if thet can actually entice extra staff in for three hours work.

Put it this way, don't go in thirsty.

Want to lose weight this new year?

There's a new diet out that sounds like a good one. It's a mixture of exercise and denial. Dieters burn off calories by rushing to a 'food point', where the supply is very limited, resulting in only the first few at the point to actually get a reward of food. It is designed to encourage the slower, more tubby lard arses to try harder thus losing more weight.

The first meeting of new members is at half time in the west stand of the Keepmoat, this Saturday.

I know and it never ever will be! I think catering at the KM will always be an issue. You can please some of the people  etc etc etc.
Having tried in vain, to help get it sorted, my conclusion is that, people are bothered about it, and moan about it.  They have been given numerous opportunities to have their say. But getting of their bottoms and away from their keyboards proved too much like hard work.
We have what we have. It's a quick snack at the footy on a Saturday afternoon, not an evening dinner. In addition it's better than a lot of away grounds I've been to.
Dean and his team have a huge task feeding the thousands. They are a business and there to make money. So let them get on with it. People will always buy the offerings be them good or bad. They don't always get it right but were not all perfect. They do listen and they do care to a degree, but do they act? No not always, but why should they, the tills are still ringing.
So to Dean and his team, keep up the good work (just bring the pie and a pint for a fiver deal back to the BVB along with Dot) I'm happy.

that's my point though, it's not "a quick snack at footy" Well it won't be on Saturday, that's for sure!

Or the tubby ones could leave it to the slender ones to rush to the front of the queues. The slender ones could then re sell it (at a tidy profit) to the tubby ones at the back. Or even auction it.

I'd have sworn I read something not so long ago claiming that football forums were a thing of the past and were likely to fade away.

Glad to see so many new posters on this forum, contributing actively even if some of them don't often actually talk about football. We're obviously bucking the trend. If we could only bottle the essential ingredients, we would make a fortune.
