Keith Stroud.

Poison dwarf little s**t! He is an awful referee, we have had him before, absolutely no consistency (as in all referees, nowadays).

My question: How can a referee who has never refereed in the Premier League take charge of a game involving a PL team!? A team full of big, dirty t***s, too!? Lack of decent referees!? Most probably!

He has refereed in the Premier League. He was on the list for a few seasons although he was then dropped. He has done at least two PL games this season.

I didn't think he was good, but he was better than Attwell.

I listened in on Rovers player and it pretty much sounded (especially in the 1st half) as though he gave the opposite decision to what he should've done on numerous occasions.

Riddled with errors and favoured Stoke in the big calls

Foul by Charlie Adam (maybe on Mc) not given , so instead of free kick to us 20 yards from Goal he ran through and it ended with the Crouch scoop over the bar - then TS kicking Goal Kick to Crouch to produce the winner

Small margins - but true nontheless

Awful decision making , I honestly thought he would be even-handed but once again he and the other 2 tossers felt fit to deny us many decisions including the blatant penalty decision.

The foul on Conor Grant where Fergie and the technical area went berserk sticks out for me!

I thought the lineo on the West Stand side was the worst official. Whether Stroud had given prior instructions before the game, we'll never know, but I don't know why he turned up! What a useless tool - how did he not see that penalty on Alcock?

The referee in the Spurs game saw a handball 'through' a Leicester player yesterday!

Leicester players must be transparent 😀

He should have given a foul for Wollscheid on Williams but he let it go on and ended up with Tyson and Wollscheid getting carded then Grant ended up getting carded when Wollscheid decided to dribble in our technical area to time waste. He couldn't control the game at all.

Don't forget also ... the hacking down by Shawcross of (insert name AW?) on the Centre Circle

Foul given rightly ... DOGSO probably not ... last man DEFFO ... Colour of Card - Oh None of course !!!

Wasn't the centre circle, it was only 10 yards outside the area. Shawcross was technically the last man but the foul itself warranted a card of some colour anyway so how he got away scot-free was unbelievable.
A replay would have been deserved but let's move on. There were actually queues at the ticket office this morning so let's hope that signals a decent gate for Gillingham on Saturday.

As soon as I heard we had a 'Championship' ref I said to my wife "Mmm, now I wonder which team he'll favour?!"

I felt agrieved at the blatant penalty on Alcock that wasn't given (Match of the Day pundits agreed it was a stonewaller) until I saw the 'penalty' given against Leicester yesterday.

Who does the 'referee's adjudicator's' report go to apart from the FA?

Do the clubs involved see a copy? Can it be accessed by supporters? If not it's hardly what you could call a transparent procedure.

The incident in front of dugout was a culmination of previous incidents - in isolation Grant deserved his yellow

He did give us a freekick for that foul on Williams, then Woolshite blocked off Tyson in the box, whence Nathan kicked him in the jacobs.  The whistle had already gone - Woolshite could have got two yellows in that incident alone, and Tyson could have got red!

A few moments before one of the Stoke defenders had shoved Williams(?) to the ground off the ball.  Not even a yellow card.  Yes it wasn't exactly a punch in the kisser, but folks have been sent off for "raising hands" to an opponent before.

He should have had a yellow minutes before for manhandling Williams. He then takes out Williams when he was last man and Tyson last man. He should have had three reds.

He was too much about himself. A referee who wanted everyone to know he was there.

I've called him the Poison Dwarf for years, he is hands down one of the worst officials we have ever had. Second only to the flat-out corrupt referee of our 4-3 defeat to Portsmouth, Stroud delivered one of the worst refereeing displays I've ever seen when we drew 2-2 at Scunthorpe back in 2009. I knew we were in for a tough one as soon as I saw his name on the back of the programme on Saturday.

Sat in the South side of the West stand Hoola it isn't always so easy to be sure how good or bad the East side lino's decisions are so I don't remember seeing much to grumble about from him.  What I do remember though in the first half was when the idiot referee was giving us absolutely nothing, the East side lino flagging vigorously for two blatant fouls on us which the ref was otherwise choosing to let go.  So, from me, fair play to the east side lino.

I don't think the East Stand lino got much wrong and he did seem able to keep up with play, unlike the one on the West. He missed a clear offside (not the goal) because he was way behind play.
