When was the last time

Drfc actually told us how much we have sold a player for. As far back as I can remember they all seem to be undisclosed or on a free.

I was wondering this and I came up with the following theory. If players are sold in transfer windows the money would then be there for all and sundry to see. Clubs with that knowledge could then, in turn, hold us to ransom on players we would like to buy prior to the window shutting.

That's probably a load of b*llocks like, and although I appreciate income and outgoings at the club are no-ones business apart from the club, I would like to know Why/when undisclosed fee became the expected 'norm'.

It's rare that anyone announces a firm number these days. How many times do you hear about a fee "believed to be in the region of £x"?

I suppose it's a lot more complicated than it used to be with various add-ons etc. An undisclosed fee could be sweet FA up front potentially rising to £20m apiece if they win the Ballon D'Or with a vast array of other permutations in between.

The answer is about the last time my wheelie bin was emptied by the council, about 153bc...

I don't think we need to know the answer to fees that much though.

Im more than happy not knowing. I trust the management and CEO to get a good price and I would rather rival managers not know how much we have to spend.

We can always wait for the accounts to be published if we care that much about prices.
