If we went down...

Would you keep Ferguson?

He's proven he can get teams promoted previously and played entertaining attacking football with a young team so it's a yes for me. If we went down then it's a fresh start for the club.

This is just if we went down.

The only worry is if we sack him then its a payout again unless we have a caluse in his contract but i dont think we would have even thought about it

He's on a one-year rolling contract...unless you're thinking of some other type of contract clause?

Keep him no doubt. He's already started to set up for next season so leave him alone.

Yes i mean if we get relegated then we can end his contract without paying the rolling year off

I was thinking get rid but im still unsure.

That's quite an interesting comment Lincoln. Could you point out what he's done to get set up for next season.
Genuine question by the way

He'll still get a year's worth of compensation.

I'd definitely keep the manager if not we have the same problem next season a manager seeing how he rates the squad he has and moving players in and out . It will be interesting whatever league we play in next season as to what direction the board go in as a lack of investment next season will no doubt put people off going as fickle as our support is

I would keep him, but if we didn't go back up at the first time of asking it would be thank you and goodbye.

I think he's asking whether there's a 'relegation clause' whereby he doesn't get that year's pay-off if we're relegated. It's possible, I suppose, but very unlikely.

How many clubs can anyone name that have been successful by sacking managers on a regular basis.
There are very few indeed.
Give the man a chance he has only been here since October
(5 months) that is no time at all.
He needs the summer to sort it out and build his own squad.
Just hope it isn't in league 2
His motivational and man management skills need to come to the fore NOW NOW NOW if we are going to stay up.
There is more than enough ability to do it. Just GUTS are needed.

He needs, and should get, a pre-season to get rid of the deadwood and bring in his own players to make a fight of it next season. I just hope it's to take us further in league 1 and not to bring us back up! After Saturday I'm beginning to have doubts! Who else can take us forward - we're not L**ds or blunts, we know sacking 2 or 3 managers a year doesn't work - give him time and I really believe he'll deliver (IMHO of course!).
