It's the playing side that's failing, what do you want them to say?

That there going to make funds to sign a defender and a midfield player of better quality than we have available

Isn't it the job of the manager to determine where to strengthen? Any words beyond making funds available is meddling in football matters.

When DF has recently thanked the board then that to me says they are backing him. It doesn't give us the answer of what did or didn't happen in January.

What clubs ever do anything like this? Dickos is right, it's the players and coaches who need to turn this around now, it's out of the boards hands really at this stage of the season.

I don't want the directors saying what players we should or shouldn't sign, stuff like that happens at elland road , it would be an embarrassing travesty if our directors came out and said anything like that

i want them to be accountable for the club and some one from the top should be keeping us informed at regular intervals if not the board then there representative in Gavin Baldwin

On the one hand it would be good to hear from the chairman about the future direction of the club. On the other, anything he said about the current situation could be seen as undermining the manager or putting pressure on him.

A statement would probably be fine, because it would be discussed in advance with the CEO and the manager. A press conference would be fraught with danger.

Any journalist worth his salt would ask Blunt if he still had confidence in Ferguson. Blunt would say that of course he did. Next day's headline "Fergie gets vote of confidence."

Completely agree Dickos, I actually couldnt care less what the owners are thinking. Fergies said himself thats he's had the backing of the board to bring new players in. Is it the boards fault that he's spunked the money away on Alcock, Gooch,Lecynge and extended Stewarts loan when its obvious to the rest of us that he needed a decent centre half? The manager has had plenty of time to sort it out...unless the board are forcing him to persist with this ridicules 352 formation!

Nows not the time for board members to be in the newspapers, the only ones we need to hear from are the manager and players.
Personally after the season finishes, then i'd like an idea of how they are going to improve things, but until then the club focus is on the pitch, as it should be.

Like they did in the " good old days " under Sir John Ryan you mean Vicar ?. I miss his hands on approach to actually not building a club up from the Conference days too don't you ?

Forgive me but I thought we already had the opportunity twice a year to ask ANY question of any member of the board, face-to-face? I don't know any other club at our level or above that does that? I've also yet to hear a question since the last MTO event that is worthy of fans "summoning" the board again?

More emotional shite. There's some right b*llocks spoken on this forum. What is the obsession with having someone to blame, someone who has to be held to account? Bullshit of the highest order.

Sometimes you play well and win games. Sometimes you play badly and lose games. Sometimes it doesn't work that logically. Doncaster Rovers are not, and never have been, world-beaters. Deal with it! Don't look for scapegoats. Just accept it's the territory when supporting our Club.
