Near enough every game in the land has a poor ref, because the one's in the premier league are supposedly the best and they aren't great.
The game is getting quicker all the time, players are more dishonest rolling around, and the linesman are often told not to intefere, whereas they should be helping the ref.
It's a mixture of arrogance, incompetence, just not seeing the incident properly and reacting to the crowd, plus the other things already mentioned!. Expect the worse from any ref and you won't go far wrong, we need players to decide games in our favour, they are not doing it at the minute!
