Update;

These stats so far suggest there will be a decrease in attendances next year by about 2000, taking them below 4,400.

Is that based on ST's only, or does it include walk ups etc...

I've just based it on this season's average attendance (6400) being reduced by 31%, assuming those paying at the gate will decrease by a similar margin to ST holders. This on reflection is probably not a very accurate forecast!

We all know when football's enjoyable and when it's not. We've had good times in all 4 divisions and we've bad.

If it's winning and entertaining enough, they will come.

For the first time since getting a ST since 2007, I'm really doubting I'll get one. I'll be there again at some point. I know a few others in the same boat.

It's not the end of the world but something needs to change to convince me the entertainment value at the Keepmoat is worth investing again.

So with that sort of attendance which stand will close,East or West?

Well I reckon it'll be the East that closes, apart from the boxes and the corporate bit.

If a stand needed to close it would be the North Stand.
There won't be many away fans coming so they would fit in the East Stand north end corner.

Are people honestly taking this poll as some sort of proof of something?

Just because a couple of dozen people say they won't renew their season tickets doesn't mean they won't go to games or that's what everyone will do. This poll didn't even have all the options at the start.

We've had 4,500 crowds this season and not closed the east. Crowds are hardly going to decline by 2,000 in one season are they? They only went down 500 this year after our worst season in decades.

(Sorry, what I meant to say is we'll probably be playing in the athletics stadium soon, well done Bramall you dick)

People won't believe me but I've been told by someone who has been right with info in the past that should we go down that a large part of the East Stand will be mothballed.

In terms of season tickets we sold around 3000 for this season. I reckon we will lose around 1000 of those which would mean you'd need over 2000 walk ups to get just 4000 there. That's a big ask

It could be a load of cack but logic would suggest that cost pressures will be greater next season so carrying costs of opening East Stand up for a few hundred max is not going to be sensible.

Well if the Kinights go up and need to play at the Keepmoat maybe we can play at Castle Park? Nice bar there.

Renewed straight away . but VERY disappointed that the Promo for taking a penalty for vouchers and also of having the thrill of scoring unlike many of our players again this season , was, take on that 1 day or tough luck no other time (my fathers Birthday party on that day) and also disadvantaged by us living a few miles away.

another poor relations exercise from the Club to supporter yet again.

If the team was relegated, then it would only need a good start to the season, and the attendances might surprise a few, it's not an easy league but many just want to see they're side winning regularly.

Just had a browse on the Wigan official site and Noticed that an Adult ST renewal in any stand costs £179 @ £7.78 per game , for what will be championship football.
That't the difference between having a 15K and a 25K stadium .

They never fill their stadium and have to carry all the costs of having far bigger ground than ours. Not sure the logic is strong there but do agree those ticket prices are very attractive.

Huddersfield are passing on some of the increased TV money to the fans with their ST prices.  They stated this some weeks ago.

That's the problem for our club, we won't be getting as much coming in off that money as Huddersfield are, so it makes it tough to drop prices to the extent they have.
I just think a full stadium looks great whichever club it's at, there's nothing as ugly as an empty seat, every one money the club could be making!.
