Not sure why??? I wouldn't have done if I was him..A new goalkeeper coming in over him means another year getting splinters, only to be overlooked if a rare injury does occur, and with bfg still on the books too...I would have been looking for a fresh start...I'm surprised....

... unless, for some bizarre reason, he knows more than we all do! ;)

That's a fair point Jonny...I would be surprised if DF suddenly thinks he's good enough for the first team though...He didn't have much faith last season when Stuckman got injured and I'm sure the first choice keeper of last seasons play off semi finalstists hasn't come to be backup...Also a 1 year deal tells a lot...

I think resigning Marosi tells us that DF has spoken to Stuckmann and he is well on in finding another  club.

He's not been given an opportunity but he must be doing something in training because with how Fergie acts he would be long gone if he wasn't impressing and developing.

I would think he will have been told, that he has a chance of being number one if he does better than etheridge.
Don't forget last season, Fergie pushed players to the side after a bad game. They looked as though they were finished with the club, then he brought them back in, he has previous for it!.
It makes sense i suppose, he will have funds earmarked for other positions. He hasn't done anything drastically wrong for us, on the rare occasion he has played. When he has played i haven't been very impressed, but it's hard to come into a side, knowing you are a stopgap.

My take is that Marosi is on a low wage so he's an adequate insurance policy to have on the bench in case he needs to play part of a game with the option to bring in an emergency loan 'keeper for any longer than that.

It good to know we have at least two keepers signed already, we still have Stuckmann as well. I assume under the new loan regulations you can bring in an emergency loan keeper.
