New Striker!!
« on June 02, 2016, 09:02:08 am by Belle_Vue »
We all know League 2 is going to be physical. And to be an effective striker we need to some a browny type player, big strong, with a touch of class now and then.

Look no futher ...

...step forward Curtis Main!

Could be the answer to our problems next season

Curtis and Williams pairing would have them both scoring 20+ next season.

Shame Fergie doesn't want Curtis back.

Why would Fergie want him playing after the way he behaved at the end of the season by not coming back when asked.

Main spat his dummy out & that is not the sort of player we need if we are looking for auto promotion.

Main chose not to come back and fight for the right to play, not the kind of player we need in any league.

No keep Main out, f**k him off at earliest opportunity he has shown where his loyalties lie and his lack of back bone, not what you need in a team fighting for each other

No need for enmity or bad blood. Didn't work out for him here, like adults we should go our separate ways. Good luck to him - but he will of course get abused should we ever play his new club.

Ferguson isn't the only one that doesn't want Curtis back.

What is this myth that Main was/is a 'physical' striker. Neil Roberts was a physical striker. James Hayter was physical striker. Chris Brown was a physical striker. Curtis Main was a striker who regularly jumped out of the way of the ball because he didn't want to head it.

Curtis Main for most of his time with us had a complete aversion to using his physicality for any noticeable gain of the team.

Good luck to him. Personally I can't blame him for not wanting to come back at the end of last season. Let's be honest before he started scoring at Oldham none of us wanted him back, in his shoes I would feel the same.

Pay as you play deals are a myth. What player in their right mind would sign a deal like that in the 4th division.

I suppose the answer is a player who couldn't get any other sort of deal. However Chris Brown is unlikely to be in that boat. Also unlikely to happen until well into the season.

I doubt a champ club will come in for him, so unless a biggish league 1 club does then he will Have to take massive wage cut from what he was on,offer him decent wages on a 2 year deal u never know?

Any player that plays for the team I support who turns his back on challenges & ducks out of headers, I don't want to pay good money to watch, don't care if he scores 30 a season.

Totally ages Les. Don't know why we keep regurgitating the same thing. He's old news. Someone else's player hopefully. He had his chance with us and repaid us with unforgiveable actions when neshing challenges. Bye bye.

A lot didn't want him back even when he was scoring goals, and that includes me. But not Sad :P

Until the tattoo and the player meet again, sad will always carry a sorrow about with him....
