Was a brilliant penalty taker too. I wish him well.

He has been a good pro for us. I would say we have got more performances out of him, than his previous clubs. I think he deserves respect, he give his best everytime he played, i just feel like injuries were niggling away at him last season. If he gets a bit of good luck with injuries, somebody could have a good signing, i see him ending up back at blackpool or at oldham. Good luck to him  :scarf:

Never going to be a player you get a full season from due to injuries
Ran his balls off for the team and I wish him well

At his age you can't condemn him for wanting a last couple of years god paydays. He never let us down, unlike his hyped up oppo from Swindon, Nathen was what you got. He always appeared very professional in his interviews ad most of his injuries were due to age catching up.  Good luck Nathen wherever you end up.

The manager has weighed it up, can i get value for the wage?. Fully fit, no doubt about it, in and out of the side with injuries, no. He has to go for a younger guy, less likely to miss games, injuries can cost you staying up, or being promoted. Tough decision but it had to be made.

I think that it's more NT not wanting to play for the wages that he would now be on Sammy.
He can probably get a signing on fee and a bit more than we would pay as well.

Thanks to NT for his services to the club. He's gone, we need to move on.

Probably, idler, i have a lot of time for him, because i believe every minute he was with us he gave everything, it wouldn't have bothered me too much if he had stayed, but in the end, right for both parties.

Just see an interview with him. Says he's gutted he had to leave but it wasn't feasible to stay.

Definitely sounds like the drop in wages was his issue.

Cant fault him really,as has been said he's at that stage of his career when he needs to maximise the couple of years he has left...I would be surprised if he didn't get a league 1 club but I think its the right decision for us..We need to keep a settled team this year not end up with half the team on loan either and Tyson cant play regulary...I'm sure when he signed the extension he didn't expect us to go down so wasn't worried about the activation...Still best of luck to him...

He is well worth a risk at league one level, if you can keep him fit, he can do a lot of damage in that league, i'd expect oldham or blackpool to go after him.
If he doesn't get fixed up, and the manager misses out on targets, he might consider joining back up in pre season, anything can happen in football.

He lives in the Nottingham area. Thinking of clubs in a commutable range for there the options are fairly limited so I wouldn't be surprised to see him at least on trial at Northampton.

EDIT: Or maybe Port Vale.

Can't see him going to Blackpool. He's had an unsuccessful spell there before and they are in League Two.

If Dickov gets a job he might be interested in signing him.

Blackpool are in League 2. And like Baron says, he had a bad spell at them already anyway, I doubt he'd go back. Can see him staying in the East Midlands area.

I knew Blackpool, were in our league, i think either somebody like them or a lower league one side will sign him.

If he as left because of wages cut then how can he go to another league 2 club. There should not  be another club in this league paying better wages.

I was going to suggest County but their finances are a mess aren't they? Chessie is a good shout.

If he goes to another League Two club it will be because we didn't think he was worth the money he was on. Massive difference between being unable to afford him and unwilling to afford him.

There's a huge difference between paing better wages overall and what another club will offer one player in particular. If we don't see him as one of our better players anymore then I'd imagine the new wage on the table reflects that. If another L2 club want to make him their main man then they'll offer more.
