Tour de France in Yorkshire
« on August 09, 2016, 07:24:52 pm by Donnywolf »
Hi

Yes its been and gone but does anyone happen to have the TV Coverage recorded on DVD please or similar.

Reason is I have a Freeview Recorder Humax 9300T and it has always been inefficient and will miss Recordings and a variety of other faults. So it is going

I don't have much Recorded for posterity but my 3 Progs of the 2 Stages in Yorkshire and one "darn sarf" I really WOULD like to keep if possible. I think they can be copied to DVD and I am exploring other avenues but they look complicated.

So I thought if someone had them I would have problem solved and could simply erase all the Recordings on it and give it away !

Regards DW

My old Humax whilst brilliant at the time did become more and more erratic, especially when they added in the season-record feature... was never the same after that.

The new Humax's allow you to copy the .ts files off the hard drives and onto a PC so you can convert them to something more useful.  The old ones don't so I used to use a DVD recorder and record it off via scart.  Not even sure you can buy DVD recorders any more though.  The other way is to use video capture onto a PC or laptop via a special cable and a bit of software (I think the one I had was a Hauppage).  Either way it's a lot of cost for three hours of highlights...

Or you could just watch/borrow them off youtube...   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRq1iAL5a2Q

Hi and thanks ....

I have seen an appraisal of how to do it with a USB to SATA Converter - taking the lid off and connecting the Humax Hard Drive to a PC ... onerous or sure

There are some DVD Recorders still out there so that may be an option but an expensive one ...

The Recordings are not 3 x 1 Hour though, they are the full coverage from start to finish about 4 hours each of the 3 Stages - though I would settle for just the 2 Yorkshire Stages ! I will get there via a DVD Recorder I suspect

Thanks again DW

One last plea please.

Did anyone record the whole Tour de France (Yorkshire) Stages 1 and 2 off Channel 4 it probably was ?

I have them on Humax box (see OP) and it will be gone soon. I would love to get them on DVD but that means someone having them recorded - and being kind enough to transfer them for me.

Yes great news on the possible World Champs in Yorkshire. We will do it proud and we will do it proudly.

That's why I would love to get the whole of the 2 Stages from the TdF because it was so special seeing it in Yorkshire - a feeling I truly cant describe !!! Memorable magical and a load of other descriptions

Thanks for the suggestions above and I will try them. I honestly cant see me copying them from the Humax box especially as I have just 3 or 4 days before the new box arrives and I hand the Humax to the Sister in Law whose Grandson will reformat the Hard Drive FOR SURE just because a) he is 8 and b( because he can

Cheers again JT
