Only 8 games but it's looking good. On course for our highest goal scoring season for the last 13 years.

07/08 - 1.41
08/09 - 0.91
09/10 - 1.28
10/11 - 1.20
11/12 - 0.93
12/13 - 1.35
13/14 - 0.85
14/15 - 1.26
15/16 - 1.04
16/17 - 2.13

Bloody hell! You're expecting something mate if you think that, despite all the successes of the last dozen years, we are going to achieve a season long goal scoring rate which is 55% higher than the very best of the last 13 seasons.

Any team that averages 2 goals a game across a whole season has had a real top notch humdinger. We tend to average leaking 2 goals a game more than scoring 2 :) Things do look good, but we've played less than 20% of the season yet. If we're still doing it after Christmas, that'll be the time to get excited.

Best goal difference in our league. Guess it is a while since that happened.

I don't expect us to carry this on throughout the season but signs are good. I still reckon theres a good chance of us beating the previous years, seeing as only 66 goals are needed to beat our previous highs.

Fergie did manage to get Peterborough to score 106 in one season (where they finished 4th and 2nd worst defence in the league!) and on our currently form we'd end up on about 98 goals.

To get a record goalscoring season, we would need to be winning a lot of games consistently. Beating practically everybody we face, we have yet to beat what i would consider a 'top side' away. Accrington we lost, crewe the same, they are the only ones i would consider top half teams for the finishing positions that we have faced.
Morecambe was a cracking result but they are a bottom half team to me, estimating where teams will finish, which i'm not great at. They had a good run last season then lost a lot of games on the trot. We just happened to be the team that starts this seasons downward spiral for them.

Credit to our lads though, we played them when confidence was sky high and we dominated them. Personally overall i think bentley does a great job for them. His budget can't be that big, but it seems a well run club and they get they're share of good players. Looking at the players fit at the minute, players to come back in, i would expect around late sixties to early seventies in goals scored.
