This is becoming a joke - how did Marisol not get that followed closely by Houghton

Marosi, Houghton and Coppinger all had good games. Tommy Rowe took his goal well but was otherwise rather disappointing.

Marosi by a mile,  followed by Houghton and Marquis (for his work rate)

Butler had one of his best games of the season apart from the dodgy header at the end

Agreed. Butler did play well.

It wasn't one of Coppinger's marquee performances, but when we are under the pump his calmness on the ball is so important to the team. It was vital that he played the full game today.

Marosi was MOTM for me, got us 3 points with some class keeping today. Long may it continue

I was impressed by Marosi today - his performance was equivalent to scoring a goal at the other end.

So by the same measure I can understand Rowe getting the vote, as he was calmness personified when he took his goal.

Copps also had an excellent game. Probing, prompting, breaking up their play, giving us some time on the ball when we needed it, so he too had a claim on the MOTM vote.

How anyone could put Houghton's name up is beyond me. I thought he was largely anonymous and this was one of his less impressive games, but hey, it's all about opinions.

Touch and go between Copps and Marosi, but I'll give it to the goalie. Well done Marco.

The whole team was below par but several of the players couldn't be faulted for effort, if not quality.

MOTM Marosi, by a country mile IMHO.

He's had an alright season for me. Always making last ditch tackles, clearing off the line, making good headers, good tackles, etc.

Butler is much maligned by lots of supporters.
Ok, his distribution from the back isn't great but his defensive qualities are good.
Very often he makes the last ditch tackle or clearance and wins more headers than his opponent.
He was fantastic in the Barnet game.
Very much in the Rob Jones style and he pops up with a goal or two.

I think that Houghton was"anonymous" says it all does his job quietly and efficiently to such an extent you don't notice him, my MoM, with Marosi just behind

Yes agreed Raven, Houghton isn't meant to stand out and I felt his coolness in midfield and distribution was very good again yesterday. A talented player who i expect will carve out a career at a higher level than this one, albeit probably not with his parent club.

if Houghton wasn`t there he would definitely be missed 7/10 or better every week.

That's the biggest myth in football "his work goes unnoticed".

It isn't a myth though.. many a time folks don't comment on what player X or Y contributes yet suddenly when they don't play, they are badly missed.. some players, such as defensive midfielders, are not in the limelight very often, so yes their contributions often go unnoticed..

Aye, what IDM said. Seen that countless times with football fans across the country.

Hell, not even just that. Sergio Busquets used to get held up as someone not good enough to be in the flashy Barca side under Pep. Yet, if you watch the games properly, he's one of their key players in that holding slot, makes a hell of a difference.
