Segregation.. or lack of....
« on April 08, 2017, 10:10:37 pm by Mac the hooped man »
My lad, and his under 8s team along with various other u8s were Sat in the north east corner. There seemed to be no meshing or lines.of stewards up there at all... the scum Mansfield meatheads could Have just walked across and caused all aspects  Of bother.  Not good. Rovers, must do better  .

Isn't there a metal bar separating the two stands?

He's probably just thinking about the safety for his lad and his friends, not really a moan is it? Any other parent would probably be thinking the same.

The club probably didn't think there was any chance of the Mansfield fans battering a load of school kids.

But they were safe, because nothing happened. I could understand if this was posted before the game, but afterwards.... just a bit pointless.

For what it's worth, it seemed like Mansfield had a lot of walk ups today who came into the stands quite close to kick off, i don't think the club were anticipating that so much of the North Stand would be used.

Unfortunately Jenny that can't be the attitude nowadays, however they obviously had a lot of walk ups as the stewards all walked across and  definitely opened another block up towards the East stand

How can you post it before the game if it hasn't happened yet? Is there a DeLorean involved over?

Are you for real ffs, the manager and coach were genuinely concerned, , tried to shepherd the kids as far to the right as possible. the so called metal bar can be climbed over quite easily.  Have we forgotten the Millwall chavs trying to get into the family stand a few years ago.  Jeez....

Quite wrong of the club to put the young lads in the North Stand at all.  Even if the away supporters didn't come across, just being there amongst all the bad language, drunkeness, gesturing, arrests etc is not healthy for youngsters, who should have been seated somewhere else in the ground.

The only  two areas large enough to seat them together would either be the North East or North West corners. Both as bad as each other.
The issue is the age of a large number in this area.
We never had too much of a problem with the large gates in the early Championship years when the age spread of our fans in these areas would be more varied.
