Rovers v Belles
« on April 12, 2017, 06:58:51 am by aidanstu »
I woke up this morning having had a dream about the rovers playing the belles (too much cheese).

It got me thinking whether anybody would want to see the teams play an end of season or early pre-seaon friendly and woukd it financially benefit club doncaster?

Id like to see a Club Doncaster game, a mix of the teams playing a mix of the sports (1 half Football/ 1 half Rugby League/maybe not the snooker...;)), its common practice in other cities.

I don't think that there would be much interest at all unless it was for charity.

Belles are not a part of Club Doncaster so any event would be Rovers, Dons, Athletics, Snooker to choose from.

It has been suggested in the past and the answer was that the FA would not allow a men v women game !!!!
Belles also have been strangely reticent to engage with Rovers on many fronts despite considerable efforts from Gavin B to exploit synergies, especially in the Community  Strategy. Perhaps they misinterpreted the efforts to be an attempted takeover, though I believe from observing reactions to ideas put forward that they are determined it will be females only outfit backroom; boardroom and all!
