I Got talking with a few colleagues at work today about football and the loudest or gobbiestj managers theyve ever had thats managed their team.

One of my mates has been a Season ticket holder at Notts county for years,, so warnock, allardyce,, martin Allen and a few other of the more predictable names popped up for managers whove had dugout fits and tantrums on the sidelines.

It then got onto the subject of ourselves and how noisy our managers were and in comparison to others,, I was shocked with how quite and mild ours have been on t,he touchline for as many years as I can remember.

The only exception I can think of was dickov who I always thought was a bit of a prat and loved the sound of his own voice.  If you sit in the west stand like me then youll know how he had the loudest whistle of any manager Ive probably everb heard ever before.

SOD won the award for being the quitest manager.  The only other one that came close was my Lincoln supporting mate who gave an honourable mention to Keith alexander.!!!!

Can anyone else think of any other noisy managers weve had. In comparison to Dickov,, I think ferguson is tame and only pops up when things seem to be going badly.

Fergie is loud.
So were Billy Bremner and Ian Snodin.

I dont think anyone can whistle as loud as dickov out of the names mentioned.... when he used to whistle it was good and proper and enough to scare the ducks in the lake next to the stadium.

He could get a job as a platform guard on a railway station with his whistling skills as theyre better than his football management skills.

I sit in the West stand and at times really felt sorry for the fourth official during the Dickov era however on meeting him when travelling down to London I found him to be a thoroughly genuine bloke who was a pleasure to travel with.

I thought Dickov missed out on a lot of the game because of this it could have saved him his job if he had concentrated on what he could change on the pitch officials rarely change a decision it's pointless-but i guess it's just his personality.

Fergie can be loud! I sat in the west once a couple of years ago and he had a right pop at Evina. Something along the lines of.. "sort your f**king head out, your playing like a c**t.
Everybody around me could hear it and nohody really know how to react!

Not a donny manager. The most foul mouthed manager I've come across is a Steve Evans. I lived in Boston for many years and often watched them.  He's a vulgar mouthed loud and verbally aggressive individual.

That's interesting, especially when you consider the comparable success of Scottish and English managers in the Premier League

Nigel Clough without doubt is the most foul mouthed manager I've ever heard.

Snodin was a riot!

I remember Snodin smashing the dressing room up at a friendly at Guiseley. You could hear him from the terrace.
