The wisecracks and abuse given to the away team dugout.

Who was the manager in the last season or two who copped for a load of abuse and then threw his toys out the pram and reported a load of our fans to the police. Was it Brian Talbot???
Either him or Colin Todd of Bradford City. He complained bitterly in the Telgraph & Argus after the game.

The trough at the back of the popside.
Getting stuck in a port-a-loo on the popside.
Watching the game from the port-a-cabin bogs on the popside.

There's a theme here...

Parking up in OBV Car Park and a steward asking my Dad:

"Do you want to get away quickly after the game or do you want to be blocked in...?".

The guy was dead serious as well.

Eric Brailsford 'sprinting' across the pitch to treat an injury with his trusty sponge bag.  Most players recovered before he got there.

Heard at the BV snack bar - the one perched on the top of the Main Stand terrace....

Customer: Have you got anything for veggies ?
Someone in the queue: Try the meat and potato pie, not had meat in for forty years

I know I have told this tale before, so apologies to those who have already heard it.

As a brand new student at Merton College, being introduced to a 2nd year Microbiologist called Alec Jeffreys and saying to him 'you so nearly have a famous name'. I am not sure if Professor Sir Alec Jeffreys, Fellow of the Royal Society and developer of DNA fingerprinting would actually still remember that particular conversation.  :headbang:

A porky Scarborough Physio running on the pitch with very short red shorts, and getting heckled as a result.

What Rovers 60's Centre Half and Captain, and future Rovers manager had what sounded like his name mentioned in one of the Rovers fans songs of the time?

Selbys Dad Bill would have been right up there I suppose before he sadly passed away. Grand chap and was an honour to Share a Row with him being just a few Seats away

Bill Leivers was a player-manager. He resigned due to meddling by Hubert Bates.

Ken Bates was certainly a master.

Does anyone have that photo of him looking just a bit pissed off at Wembley?

Fatty Evens getting punched in the tunnel by a fan

I wonder if the story has got mixed up, he went to punch me after I made a comment to him as a young 16 year old and when he missed his keeper had a go.

I must have had a face people want to hit because ken Richardson also deliberately smacked me in the face with a paper after a comment I made to him to.

I'd probably take it as a compliment if the likes of Evans and Richardson want to hit you.
