I think you are correct in saying that people don't understand what Carillion does BFYP. For example can you please explain to us why a construction company was running the library services of 4 London boroughs! No need to guess on how successful that was:

It beggars belief that top bosses can leave and still get over half a million salary

A bit more detail here for those that like to graze on the data;
https://is.gd/Fkow5r

There is a fundamental problem with transparency on these contracts held on behalf of the public by a private interest.

This is difficult enough in normal circumstances when it comes to understanding these opaque deals, but it is doubly difficult to bottom out the extended liabilities when shit hits the fan.

Do the public have a right to know the full details of contracts entered into on their behalf, and for which they are paying?...... I would say yes.

My Brother in law retired from Soil Mechanics in August. He's just been informed he will not longer receive his company pension as Carillion ran it. He doesn't qualify for state pension for another 4 years.
Fackin criminal.

Exactly the reason why pensions should be managed nationwide. It’s the biggest investment of anyone’s life and the thought that you can lose a huge amount through no fault of your own, but through the mis-Management of a single company is a national disgrace.

This shouldn’t be a gamble. It’s aboutbpeople’s security wen they are most vulnerable.
