True. But 497 comments were variations on “Hiw the f**k did we not win that?”

Robinson is getting some serious grief over that substitution. Apparently not being able to see a game out is a problem for them.

We were at home and they were away so it only makes sense really.

Fair comment, DonnyO, but for Charlton's last home against Oxford last week they still had 363 comments and 20,100 views! http://forum.charltonlife.com/discussions/p5

Just saying again!

Charlton are a much bigger club than us with a bigger fanbase, hardly a surprise really.

Well it’s a true assessment if we are all honest about it. That was our worst offensive performance of the season. Amos could have sat down on a rug in the six yard box and had a picnic. He wouldn’t have been disturbed.

Grand.

Worst performance of the season against the side with the sixth best record in the division and we get a point through a lucky late goal.

And folk are moaning.

Earlier in the season we were putting in good performances and losing to lucky late goals.

And folk were moaning.

There’s a pattern.

Charlton might have been sixth in the league but they didn't play like it on Saturday, thank goodness! If they had they'd have destroyed us.

Here’s a thought. Do you think your constant negativity might be having a detrimental effect on the side?

I think you're getting your words mixed up BST. Honesty isn't the same as negativity.

I could look at Saturday's performance with positivity, but that wouldn't be any more honest.

Poor performance BUT we got something out of it because we don’t give up these days. Surely that attitude has to be a positive. Same as at Peterborough, Shrewsbury & Scunny.

Of course, the equaliser was a positive! The home crowd showed that by going wild, even the moaners! But, likewise at Scunthorpe, surely you can't neglect to reflect on the pathetic display before the late equaliser?

"Charlton should be brushing sides like Doncaster Rovers aside, according to captain Chris Solly.

“No disrespect to Doncaster...........

But you are showing disrespect to us, aren't you, Mr Solly, by making remarks like that?

He's probably right though, you would expect at the minute them to be ahead of us.  Next season hopefully not.  It's no different to me expecting us to beat Bury, Rochdale etc.

Charlton came to my attention last January when

"Ademola Lookman: Everton sign Charlton forward for £11m"  i actually thought it was a paltry 10 million !!!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38520520

i thought last season after a good run they would make the plays off Millwall in a similar position at the time pulled it off

thanks to idler tipping up off abut bradford not being the same force this season apart from the obvious 2 money relegated Lancs clubs they were the team who obviously should finish 3rd -- the manager is course and distance -- the fact is they have totally underperformed terribly this season to be in such a low position THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN BEATING

checking their results since they beat Rovers 1-0 their results have only been midtable or below so as for that comment they have been probably saying the same thing since that rovers match ........ and i thought £11 million pounds was a lot of money "look man " what is going on at that club where's ya money

I don’t think the crowd atmosphere can be described as one of negativity. Odd moan here and there but generally atmosphere is one of indifference, which is little different to normal. In the highly unlikely event any player looks on here, then granted, it is a little more critical, but match day crowd is as usual, largely silent bar the odd chant.

There's a world of difference between "expecting to beat" and "should brush aside". If they think they should just brush aside anyone in this division, that might explain why they are underachieving.

I too doubt that players will read this forum.
However, if they got upset or let criticism from here bother them that would be more unlikely.

CBCB

It was tongue in cheek. BB has this theory that the reason our economy has tanked relative to the rest of the world since the Brexit vote is because of Remainers being so negative about the prospects.
