asked the posh fans if they want DF back? "god no!" and "things aren't that bad". Came the replies. Truth.

Quite right... Barry Fry masterminded everything and Ferguson got the credit.

Football is fundamentally about trying to get better players than the other teams in your division. Peterborough have good (better than good really) contacts that recommend lower league players to them. When Fergie was there he did very well developing these raw players, to say it was all about Barry Fry is nonsense.  They had a good all round setup and Fergie was a massive part of that.

Mind you, Barry Fry did get the credit for masterminding them being relegated twice under him so he hasn't missed out!

I've just seen Fatty and Raynor have resigned. I doubt they would leave Mansfield unless they had a "bigger" job to go to.

I think Fatty must know the Posh are a bit more loose with the transfer kitty. He does like a bung after all!

No surprises where you got your two likes from!
Fry has been there for donkeys years if it was all down to him why weren't all the other managers so successful??

You just love getting in a sly dig don't you.

Bit sad that you've resorted to checking likes on posts to try and score points...

Score points?

I checked to see who would like such an inaccurate post, but then it became clear

Interesting choice of word - to ‘mastermind’. So Barry Fry apparently masterminded the lot. I wonder exactly what masterminding something involves.

Fry goes out and looks for the players. He's regularly at non league games trying to pick up the gems Peterborough became known for.  No doubt the manager has the final say on whether they're signed.

Agreed vicar, don't know why he thought anyone was trying to score points.

I can remember us saying the prices at Peterborough were high when we played them away.
The reported attendance on Monday was 2537 with 81 from Walsall.
That is very very surprising, and that when you are 8th in the division and in with a shout of the play offs. And I might add paying Taylors wages.

I think the weather seriously affected that attendance figure..
