If he does go there you can forget the budget as the reason he left because they are potless...

City train and play development matches at the old International Harvesters sports field. At one game a city season ticket holder asked Stuart " Are we any nearer getting a centre back in"?
The reply was " Don't ask me ask him over there". Nodding at Edin, one of the Germans running the club.
Could you honestly believe DF would work like that.
They have signed four or five players with no manager. My mate was joking last night that they have about five centre backs now. The lad that asked Stuart the question earlier in the season was also there. City fans aren't happy at all.

I heard back in March that the Bradford owners wanted to bring Fergie in. They apparently didn’t trust McCall with a budget and Grayson wouldn’t commit long term so they just let him see out the season.

Everything I was told has come true up to this point. The only thing I didn’t expect was the way DF resigned. I assumed Bradford would just approach and get him that way.

So, in anywhere other than football, how much gardening leave would DF need to serve before taking the new role?

Could this have all been engineered??

Fergie will poach some of our players, you can guarantee that so let’s hope he doesn’t get it

I'd have thought he wouldn't need any gardening leave, he resigned, he's due no money, he terminated the contract

Well if he does, the chances are that he will want some of the players under contract so his new club would have to pay us a fee.

He won't go there, they signed a fullback other week so he wouldn't be happy with that.

He may be a full back now but to Darren he is a false number nine or potentially a goalkeeper.

In my role I can't just quit and then work for a competitor after a few weeks of holiday.

I can work elsewhere after my notice period, but have to wait for a year before going to a competitor.

My point really was that just because he's resigned shouldn't mean he can move on so quickly. If another team approached us for him, while he was with us, we would have been due compensation, but this would be an underhand way around that.

If they want any of our contracted players they would have to break their pay structure. Unless they increase their idea of the wages they expect to pay and give any new manager far more power than McCall or Grayson enjoyed then DF would never dream of going there.

It has been very hard to enforce garden leave on many occasions, including once involving myself.

No doubt that is written into your contact.

Michael Collins. The only Michael Collins I've heard of is the one who used to be a big noise in the IRA!

Former under-18s coach who played for Huddersfield and Halifax. I can't imagine Bradford fans are impressed.

Probably not but it doesn’t mean he’s a bad appointment. They won’t have seen his presentation to the board or heard his vision for trying to bring them success. People always complain that the same old faces get jobs then complain when new faces get jobs!

Bradford are in a right mess, they've got staff resigning because of the Germans in charge and then appoint the u18's coaches. Bet it's only because they want a yes man and everyone else in the last 6 weeks has turned them down.

Just been chatting to my mate from Bradford about this one..Predictably he is far from happy with that appointment but with the financial position at City he wasn't surprised. He always said there is no way DF would go there with how the Germans run the club..They get the players in,and they expect to have one of the smallest budgets in league 1.

He reads these boards as well as we are his second club and he added "It's took us 7 weeks to end up appointing our Youth coach,If that would have been You,your messageboard would be in meltdown"
